A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver hot water / coffee jug; an addition to our diverse silver teaware collection

This fine antique Victorian sterling silver jug has a pear shaped form onto a circular collet foot.


The lower bulbous portion of the jug is embellished with impressive chased stylised interlacing branch, floral and leaf decoration.


This fine coffee jug is fitted with a hallmarked domed hinged cover encircled with a band of chased undulating chased floral and leaf ornamentation in addition to an applied gadroon decorated border to the rim.


The cover is surmounted by a fine and impressive sterling silver acorn style finial.


This fine example of antique teaware retains the original handle overlaid with interwoven bamboo, strategically interlaced to produce a segmented braided design.


This jug is further embellished with a vase shaped collar ornamentation to the lower portion of the panelled spout.


This impressive sterling silver water jug was crafted by the London silversmiths John Aldwinckle & James Slater of Holland, Son & Slater.

This antique coffee/hot water jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The interior of this piece has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

The chased and applied decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the jug and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example Victorian teaware.
