This exceptional antique George V English sterling silver jewellery box has a rectangular form.

The surface of this antique silver jewellery box is embellished with horizontal bands of engine turned decoration.

The impressive hallmarked domed hinged cover is ornamented with a continuation of engine turned decoration and incorporates a rectangular tooled border to the subtly domed upper portion.

The body of this exceptional silver jewellery box is lined with cedar wood and compartmentalised with a bespoke navy blue velvet fitment, incorporating a well accented with an integrated ring holder to one side.

This impressive example of antique silverware is supported by four impressive applied bracket style feet.

This antique box has a weighted base and retains the original leatherette to the underside.

The box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are very clear; the maker's mark has wear but remains legible.
