This exceptional antique Victorian locking jewellery box in sterling silver has a square shaped form.

The body of this antique Victorian jewellery box is embellished with embossed fluted decoration decoration below a suspended floral swag and lobed border to the upper portion.

The original hallmarked domed hinged cover is ornamented with further embossed fluted decoration accented with a panel of scrolling leaf and floral ornamentation encircling a rounded cartouche supported by two figural designs.

The cover of the box is encompassed with a protruding crimped border.

The body and cover of this fine jewellery box are fitted with a cushioned lined interior; the interior has been recovered in crimson fabric replicating the appearance of the original covering.

This impressive box is supported with a crimped border to the rim.

This antique Victorian jewellery box is weighted and retains the original leatherette to the underside.

This desirable box is fitted with a fully working locking mechanism and silver key.
