Description

This exceptional antique 18th century sterling silver marrow scoop has a plain rounded form.

The anterior surface of this antique silver double ended scoop is plain and unembellished with a plain fingerpiece to the centre.

The posterior surface features a rounded heel to the broader scoop, in addition to the full Liverpool hallmarks.

Such examples of Liverpool silverware are becoming increasingly difficult to locate and are very rare to the market.

This antique silver marrow scoop is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the posterior surface of the stem are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
