These exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver menu holders have circular bases.


Each piece is surmounted with an impressive rounded design with an offset paralleling support.


The anterior surface of each menu holder is embellished with a fine hot enamel panel depicting individual game birds on appropriate terrain for their habitat.


The species of birds include: a mallard duck, a snipe, a partridge and a pheasant.


The bases of these impressive silver and enamel menu card holders are plain and unembellished, apart from the feature hallmarks.


This impressive set of antique silver menu card holders is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, secured with a push fit catch.


The interior of the box bears the retailer's mark 'Frank Smythson, 133 New Bond Street'.


These exceptional menu holders, crafted by the renowned silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd, are the finest of their type you could hope to acquire.

These impressive antique menu holders are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The enamel decoration is in perfect condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each holder are very clear; the maker's mark shows signs of wear but remains legible.
