Description


This exceptional antique George III sterling silver strainer/mote spoon has an oval rounded with a narrow stem style handle and pointed terminal.


The bowl is ornamented with pierced stylised scrolling designs accented with simplified segmented quatrefoil ornamentation.


The posterior surface of the bowl is ornamented with the contemporary engraved initials 'II'.


This antique Georgian silver mote spoon was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Hester Bateman.

This antique silver mote spoon is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The maker's mark struck to the reverse surface of the handle is very clear considering the type of item.
