This fine antique George III sterling silver mustard pot has a plain oval form.

The body of the mustard pot is encompassed with a band of bright cut engraved stylised leaf decoration to the upper portion with a scalloped border to the lower portion.

The upper and lower rims of this fine example of Georgian silverware is ornamented with an impressive applied reed decorated border.

This mustard pot is fitted with a plain hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with an impressive lobed thumbpiece.

This exceptional example of antique silverware has a ribbed angular handle.

The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner.

This Georgian silver mustard pot is supplied with an associated hallmarked English sterling silver feather edge pattern mustard spoon.

Date: 1801


This antique mustard pot is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition in keeping with age.

The applied decoration is very sharp and the bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the mustard pot and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Georgian silverware.
