This exceptional antique George V sterling silver photo frame has a plain rectangular form.

The broad border of this antique photograph frame is embellished with bands of impressive engine turned decoration, incorporating the contemporary engraved dates '1897-1922' to the lower edge.

This George V photograph frame retains the original oak wood back and hinged strut, secured with two pin catches; the catches in addition to the silver portion securing the oak wood back indicate the high quality of the piece.

This antique frame is inset with the original removable bevelled glass panel.

This impressive frame was crafted by the silversmiths William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland of Stokes & Ireland Ltd.

Date: 1921


This antique photo frame is an exceptional gauge of silver and excellent quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all very clear.
