This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver photo frame has a triangular shaped form with three stylised heart shaped internal windows.

The surface of this antique photograph frame is embellished with scrolling leaf and bird ornamentation, accented with simplified floral designs.

The upper portion of the frame incorporates a scrolling leaf bordered vacant cartouche, supported by two winged putto*.

This Victorian photograph frame retains the original velvet back and hinged strut, securing with two swivel catches.

This antique frame is inset with a removable glass panel.

This antique cast sterling silver photo frame is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The original velvet covering to the back and strut shows signs of wear in keeping with age, however can be considered to be in presentation condition.

The cast decoration is sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.
