Description


This fine antique George V sterling silver photo frame has a rectangular shaped form with a rounded lower portion and domed upper portion.


The surface of this antique photograph frame is plain and unembellished, with a plain embossed decorated paralleling border to the rim.


This photograph frame is fitted with an oak wood back and hinged strut, secured with two swivel catches.


This impressive example of antique silverware is inset with a removable glass panel.


The rim of the frame bears the registration number 'Rd 654227' in addition to the full hallmarks.


Date: 1920

Condition


This antique photograph frame is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the rim of the frame are very clear; the maker's mark shows signs of wear in keeping with age and location, but remains legible.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this impressive example of antique silverware.
