Description


This impressive antique George V sterling silver pint mug has a plain tapering cylindrical form.


The body is embellished with a fine and impressive bright cut engraved illustration depicting a ketch sailboat to one side, and the contemporary engraved inscription 'Abersoch Local Seamens' Race. 1930.' to the other.


This fine example of antique silverware is further embellished with two broad bands of tooled decoration.


The mug is fitted with a plain faceted opposing scroll handle with a shaped, incurved thumbpiece.

This antique mug is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved and tooled decoration is very crisp and very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the mug are all very clear.
