Description


This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver bowl has a circular form onto a circular domed foot.


The large body of this presentation bowl is embellished with exceptional chased floral and foliate decoration amidst scroll designs, incorporating panels of matte and scale textures.


The decoration to the body incorporates a large shaped vacant cartouche to one side.


The shaped rim of this antique bowl is ornamented with an applied gadroon decorated border accented with large scrolling leaf bordered scallop shell designs.


The foot is encircled with further chased floral decoration, matching the design to the body.


Date: 1896

Condition


This antique bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are very clear in keeping with age and location.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian silverware.
