Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation bowl has a plain circular rounded form onto a domed spreading foot.


The upper portion of the body is embellished with large and impressive embossed decorated floral festoons, incorporating a scrolling leaf bordered vacant shaped cartouche to one side.


The lower portion of the body is ornamented with embossed fluted decoration in a swirl design.


The body of the bowl is further embellished with an applied moulded border to the rim.


The foot is encircled with an impressive band of embossed floral festoon style decoration.


Date: 1903

Condition


This antique presentation bowl is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The embossed decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are all clear; the hallmarks show signs of wear due to their location and in keeping with age.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique silverware.
