This exceptional Edwardian sterling silver presentation/champagne cup has a circular bell shaped form onto a domed circular spreading foot.

The lower portion of this large antique cup is embellished with embossed batwing style, fluted decoration.

This Edwardian cup is fitted with fine and impressive handles ornamented with Arts and Crafts style terminals and rounded thumbpieces.

The rim of the foot is ornamented with an applied bead and spindle decorated border.

The underside of this fine cup bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent St'.

By virtue of its size, this versatile cup could be used as a champagne cooler or a fine presentation cup.

This cup is fitted to a circular ebonised black painted wood plinth, encircled with a plain silver band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.
