This fine antique Victorian sterling silver presentation cup has a plain baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot.

The surface of this solid silver cup is plain and unembellished with an applied moulded upper rim.

This two handled silver cup is fitted with two impressive opposing scroll handles, each with a chased leaf decorated thumbpiece and scrolling lower terminal.

The cup bears the retailer's mark 'Bristol Goldsmiths' Alliance' to the underside and was crafted by Francis James Langford & George Langford of Bristol Goldsmith's Alliance.

This fine example of antique silverware is fitted to a circular painted wood plinth, encircled with a vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are all very clear.
