Description


This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver presentation cup has a circular bell shaped form to a knopped pedestal onto a circular spreading foot.


The lower portion of the body is encircled with embossed and chased interlacing large leaf designs accented with four elongated scrolling lobed designs, all flanked with a matte background.


The upper portion of the large body is embellished with a band of scrolling leaf decoration in addition to floral designs.


The upper rim is encompassed with an applied moulded border.


The knop to the plain waisted pedestal is ornamented with further chased leaf decoration.


The foot is encircled with embossed and chased scrolling leaf decoration incorporating four elongated lobed tear designs, all above an applied bead decorated border.


This Victorian silver trophy cup retains the original gilded interior.


If required, this antique presentation cup could be supplied with a bespoke ebonised black plinth with sterling silver plaque or band, suitable for a personal engraved inscription. This service would take approximately 6 weeks, the cup can be dispatched separately prior to completion.

This antique Victorian silver trophy cup is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The embossed and chased decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the cup are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian silverware.
