Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation cup has a round bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot.


The body of the cup is ornamented with bright cut engraved scrolling leaf and floral spray decoration, accented with garlands and a band of trellis ornamentation.


The rim of the foot and knop to the stem are encircled with bands of applied bead decoration.


The foot is further embellished with a band of bright cut engraved scalloped decoration incorporating a trefoil design to each incurve.


This Edwardian cup retains the original circular ebonised plinth, fitted with green baize to the underside.

Condition


This antique presentation cup is an excellent gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The cup has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the cup are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware.
