Description

This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver ladle has been crafted in the Queen's pattern.

The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle is embellished with the classic Queen’s pattern ornamentation, includes a convex shell design to either side of the terminal, in addition to the honeysuckle and rosette design*.

The decoration to the handle terminal incorporates the contemporary bright cut engraved initial 'S'.

This fine example of Victorian flatware has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive diamond heel to the reverse surface.

* This pattern is most commonly acknowledged/referred to as Queen's pattern, however in the Chawner & Co. Pattern Book bears the name 'Rosette'.
