Description


This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver soup ladle has been crafted in the Queen's pattern.


The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle is embellished with the classic Queen's pattern ornamentation, includes a convex shell design to either side of the terminal, in addition to the honeysuckle and rosette design*.


This exceptional example of antique silver has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive oyster heel to the reverse surface.


* This pattern is most commonly acknowledged/referred to as Queen's pattern, however in the Chawner & Co. Pattern Book bears the name 'Rosette'.

This antique sterling silver soup ladle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The Queen's pattern decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.
