Description

These fine antique George III sterling silver salts have a plain oval pail form.

The surface of each salt is plain and encircled with bands of tooled decoration.

Each salt is fitted with two impressive scrolling handles.

These impressive antique Georgian salts, crafted by the renowned London silversmith John Emes, have gilded interiors.

Date: 1804

Condition

These antique salts are a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each salt are all very clear; the first portion of the maker's mark has wear in keeping with age, but remains legible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Georgian silverware.
