This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver salver has a plain oval form.


The surface of this large salver is embellished with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a demi-lion rampant murally crowned, holding between his paws a bezant, above the motto 'Animum fortuna sequatur' - Fortune follows the spirited*.


The salver is fitted with an impressive cast and applied scalloped gallery border accented with simplified leaf designs to the nadir, in addition to applied bead and spindle ornamentation to the internal circumference.


The salver is supported by four impressive bracket style feet, each embellished with gadroon decorated borders and a scrolling foot.


The underside of this exceptional Edwardian salver bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'To Y. & I.B. from H. & F.W. Jan 29th 1907'.


This exceptional salver is fitted to the original wood presentation box, with a push fit cover and velvet lined interior.


This boxed silver salver has been crafted in a highly desirable size and style.

This antique boxed silver salver is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The salver has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The applied and cast decoration is very sharp and the engraved decoration is very crisp.

The original presentation box has a basic construction and shows signs of wear in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the rim of the salver are all very clear.
