A magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique Victorian English sterling silver salver; part of our dining silverware collection

This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver salver has a plain circular form.


The surface of this large salver is plain and unembellished.


The very fine and impressive rounded border is embellished with pierced vertical pale ornamentation in addition to an applied suspended swag design accented to each drape with a floral motif.


This fine border is embellished with impressive applied bead decoration to the rim.


The salver is supported by four impressive bracket style feet embellished with further ornamentation reflecting that of the border.


The underside of this impressive antique salver bears the retailer's mark 'Lambert, Coventry St, London'.


This salver is a very impressive example of its type and crafted in a highly desirable style.


Date: 1862

This antique salver is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The applied and pierced decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the border and part hallmarks to the underside of the salver are all very clear.
