Each spoon and fork is embellished with a paralleling border to the handle, in addition to a pointed terminal.

The components of this canteen were crafted by the Sheffield silversmith Collingwood & Sons Ltd in 1934.

This impressive set benefits from the original knives and carving set fitted with ivorine handles and blades bearing the maker's mark 'Collingwoods, Middlesbrough, The County Goldsmiths', in addition to 'Stainless De-luxe'; one table knife is a replacement and bears alternative markings.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of each spoon and fork handle are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
