Description


This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver trinket box has been realistically modelled in the form of a heeled shoe.


The surface of this large trinket box is embellished with impressive chased scrolling foliate and floral decoration, incorporating panels depicting putto amidst clouds.


The heel of the shoe is encompassed with impressive chased fluted decoration with a scroll decorated border to the lower portion.


The sole of the shoe/underside of the box is plain and unembellished.


The hinged cover opens to reveal the original gilt interior.


This exceptional example of Edwardian silverware is a large example for its type.

This antique trinket box is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full import hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are all very clear.
