This exceptional antique William IV sterling silver slop bowl has circular, lobed form.

The convex panelled body of this antique bowl is embellished with chased textured leaf designs accented with a simplified floral motif to the centre of each rounded lobe.

The shaped, incurved upper rim is encompassed with a paralleling applied moulded border.

This exceptional example of antique teaware is supported by four impressive cast sterling silver scrolling feet conjoined with an opposing scrolling frame.

This impressive antique slop bowl retains the original gilded interior.

This exceptional bowl was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard.

This antique sterling silver slop bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The chased and cast decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of bowl are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
