This fine antique George V English sterling silver sovereign case has a subtly domed circular rounded form.
The surface of this piece is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved illustration and inscription 'Banff, Duff House'*.
The reverse surface of the sovereign case is plain and unembellished.
This case is fitted with a spring loaded catch to the bow, which when depressed releases the hinged cover revealing a hallmarked spring loaded sovereign holder embellished with engine turned decoration.
