This fine antique George V sterling silver sugar caster has a circular shaped, panelled baluster shaped form onto a spreading domed foot.

The surface of this large caster is plain and embellished with embossed decoration forming a curved panelled effect.

The rim of this impressive sugar caster is encompassed with an applied moulded border.

This sterling silver sugar caster retains the original, fine and impressive hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with impressive pierced stemmed leaf decoration in addition to an applied moulded border to the rim.

The cover is surmounted by an impressive sterling silver tapering panelled finial, terminating with a ball motif.

The underside of this antique sugar caster bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Compant Ltd, 112 Regent Street'.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and the cover are very clear.
