This exceptional antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain rectangular, rounded form with incurved corners.

The surface of the teapot is plain and encompassed with bands of applied and thread decorated ornamentation below the swept shoulders.

This impressive teapot is fitted with a plain domed, hinged hallmarked cover.

The cover is surmounted with the original panelled carved wood and sterling silver finial reflecting the incurved shape of the body; this secures to the interior of the cover with a screw fitment.

The teapot retains the original carved painted wood angular handle, with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and impressive scrolling upper socket.

This fine example of antique teaware has an impressive swan necked spout.

This antique teapot is an very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the teapot and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique teaware.
