Description


This fine antique Victorian sterling silver teapot has a bullet shaped form onto a circular foot, in the George I style.


The lower portion of this teapot is embellished with alternating concave and convex fluted decoration in a swirl design.


This antique teapot is fitted with a flush hinged subtly domed cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece.


The cover retains the original carved painted wood and sterling silver finial; the finial secures to the interior of the cover with a screw fitment.


This fine teapot is fitted with the original plain S scroll carved painted wood handle featuring a scrolling thumbpiece.


The upper sterling silver socket of the handle is embellished with a tiered bead ornamentation.


This bullet teapot has a plain tapering spout ornamented with an applied moulded lip in addition to a pendant drop motif to the nadir of the socket.


The teapot was crafted by Thomas Bradbury III & John S Henderson of Thomas Bradbury & Sons.

Condition


This antique teapot is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.

The teapot has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the teapot have surface wear in keeping with age and due to location, but remain legible.

The part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian teaware
