This exceptional antique George III sterling silver teapot stand/waiter has an elongated octagonal form.

The surface of the stand / waiter is encompassed with a broad band of impressive bright cut engraved alternating stemmed floral motifs segmented with oval medallions and flanked with a simplified undulating border.

The surface is further ornamented with a central shield shaped vacant cartouche, incorporating an osellating ribbon bow to the upper portion with a suspended leaf and floral festoon.

The swept border is ornamented with an applied ribbed border to the panelled rim.

This collectable silver teapot stand is supported by four impressive bracket style feet accented with a ribbed design.

This impressive example of Georgian silverware, crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Peter and Ann Bateman, is the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire.

The bright cut engraved decoration is as crisp as the day it was made.
