Description


This exceptional antique George V English sterling silver teapot has a rounded rectangular form to a spreading foot.


The surface of this sterling silver teapot by Omar Ramsden has a planished finish and is encircled with an applied moulded girdle, in addition to applied moulded decoration to the upper rim.


This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with the original hallmarked domed hinged cover which retains the original and impressive cast sterling silver finial modelled in the form of a winged angel holding a cartouche displaying the contemporary engraved initials 'TF'.


This exceptional teapot is fitted with the original carved painted wood angular handle accented with a tapering sterling silver lower socket and unusual silver bracket style support to the upper portion.


The plain swan necked spout is embellished with applied moulded ornamentation to the upper portion.


The cast silver spreading foot is encompassed with further convex bands, reflecting the ornamentation to the upper rim.


This exceptional and rare silver teapot was crafted by the collectable and renowned silversmith Omar Ramsden and bears the Latin engraving 'Omar Ramsden Me Fecit' - Omar Ramsden made me to the underside.

This antique teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.
