This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver teapot has a plain rounded compressed melon shaped form.

The surface of the subtly incurved panelled body is plain and embellished.

This exceptional Paul Storr teapot is fitted with the original hallmarked flush hinged domed cover; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of the piece.

The cover retains the exceptional original hallmarked cast sterling silver acorn and foliate finial.

The fine plain C scroll hallmarked handle is ornamented with an impressive cast leaf design to the upper portion, which is incorporated into the shaped thumbpiece.

The upper socket of the handle is ornamented with further cast sterling silver leaf decoration.

The teapot is has a plain swan necked spout and a scalloped socket in addition to a cast and applied leaf design to the upper portion of the lip.

The teapot is supported on four cast bracket style feet embellished with scrolling terminals and impressive leaf and acorn decorated sockets in junction with the body.

This exceptional example of antique teaware, crafted by the renowned London silversmith Paul Storr, bears the retailer’s mark 'Storr & Mortimer' to the underside.

This antique silver Paul Storr teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

The cast decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the handle, finial and interior of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Paul Storr silver.
