Description


This exceptional antique 1930s sterling silver tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl.


Each piece has a circular rounded melon shaped, naturalistic form onto a collet style foot.


The body of each piece has a subtly planished finish, with an incurved shaped border to the upper rim.


This antique George VI teapot is fitted with a plain hinged hallmarked cover, surmounted with the original stained wood and sterling silver finial.


The teapot retains the original C shaped carved stained wood handle with a plain scrolling emanating from the upper plateau.


The cream jug is fitted with an applied moulded sterling silver scrolling handle.

Condition


This antique 1930s sterling silver tea service is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The interior of each piece has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to the interior of the teapot cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
