Description


This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a waisted stem and circular spreading foot.


The plain body of this George III silver goblet is embellished with a bright cut engraved ribbon tied festoon bordered oval cartouche featuring the initials 'DSO'.


The plain swept pedestal foot is encircled with an applied band of bead decoration.


This exceptional example of antique silverware retains the original gilding.

Condition


This antique George III silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The applied decoration is very sharp and the bright cut engraved ornamentation is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the foot are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
