This exceptional sterling silver and enamel antique box has a circular rounded form to a plain collet style base.

The sides and hinged hallmarked cover of the box are ornamented with fine and impressive, vibrant aqua blue guilloche enamel panels, which reflect undulating concentric ring designs, emanating from the centre of the cover.

The cover is further ornamented with an exceptional hand painted enamel floral* array, in a six pointed formation.

The enamel panels are framed by a narrow silver border, incorporating a plain rounded thumbpiece to the front of the cover; the body features a secondary border segmenting the tapering portion of the body.

The underside of this antique George V box is plain and unembellished.

The interior of this impressive box retains the original gilding.

* These flower designs reflect the shape and style of the Cape daisy (otherwise known as a Daisy bush, African daisy and Osteospermum).
