This fine antique George V sterling silver and guilloche enamel box has a rectangular form.

The sides of the inset body are embellished with engine turned decoration.

This box is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover ornamented with a blue guilloche enamel panel which reflects a wavy concentric ring design, emanating from the centre.

The enamel panel is framed by a narrow silver border embellished with subtly scalloped pin struck decoration.

The sides of the cover are plain and unembellished, incorporating a plain rounded thumbpiece to the front.

The underside of the box is ornamented with further engine turned decoration paralleling the concentric ring design to the cover.

The interior of each compartment retains the original gilding.

Date: 1925


This antique box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The enamel is in perfect condition, with only minor surface scratches in keeping with age.

The original gilding is in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the base and part hallmarks to the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this antique silverware.

There may be some colour difference between the images and video due to recording anomalies outside our control. The images provide a more accurate reproduction of the actual colours.
