This fine antique George V sterling silver cigarette case has a rectangular form.

The anterior cover is embellished with an exceptional yellow coloured guilloche enamel panel illustrating an undulating Art Deco quatrefoil design and encompassed with a silver border embellished with engraved bead and spindle ornamentation, incorporating simplified scrolling leaf motifs.

The underside of the case is ornamented with impressive engine turned decoration identical to the design to the cover.

The sides of each convex cover are embellished with an undulating border accented with a floral design to each incurve.

This antique 1920s cigarette case is fitted with a plain fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments.

This fine example of antique silverware retains the original gilt interior and is fitted with a retaining strap.

This 1920s cigarette case is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exeptional condition.

The engraved decoration is all very crisp.

The enamel is in perfect condition.

Full import hallmarks struck to the interior reverse cover and part hallmarks to the interior front cover and catch are all very clear.
