This fine vintage sterling silver cigarette case has a plain rectangular form with subtly bevelled sides.

The anterior and posterior covers are embellished with engine turned decoration accented to the top left corner with an impressive enamel design depicting a triangular pennant style flag illustrated with St George's Cross charged with a blue coronet.

The sides of each cover of this antique cigarette case are encompassed with further engine turned decoration.

This case is fitted with a push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments.

This fine example of vintage silverware retains the original gilt interior and is fitted with the original retaining strap.

This vintage case is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The enamel is in perfect condition.

The engine turned decoration has some minor surface wear in keeping with age and use.

There is some discoloration to the interior as often the case, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to interior of the front cover, and part hallmarks to the interior of the back cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this impressive example of vintage silverware.
