Description

This exceptional set of antique George V sterling silver napkin rings consists of four napkin rings, each with a plain oval form.

One side of each piece is ornamented with an exceptional hot enamel design depicting individual game birds on appropriate terrain for their habitat.

The species of birds include: a mallard duck, a snipe, a woodcock and a pheasant.

The reverse surface of each piece is plain and unembellished.

These impressive examples of antique Chester silverware were crafted by Charles Perry & Co between 1927 - 1930; these pieces will have been crafted in fewer than three years, but due to the hallmarking system they bear the date letters 'B', 'D' and 'E'.
