Description

This exceptional antique George V sterling silver mug has a plain baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot.

The surface of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and embellished with an enamel stemmed red rose* design above the enamel presentation inscription 'County Cricket Champions, 1930, A.M.S'.

This pint mug is fitted with an S scroll handle with plain thumbpiece and scrolling lower terminal.

The underside of this impressive mug bears the retailer's mark 'Ollivant & Botsford, Manchester'.

* The red rose motif pertains to the Lancashire County Cricket Club.

This sterling silver mug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The enamel rose is in perfect condition.
