Description

This exceptional antique sterling silver cigarette case has a plain rectangular form with rounded corners.

This Edwardian enamel cigarette case has a subtly curved form proffering a comfortable fit in the majority of pockets.

The anterior cover is embellished with an impressive enamel panel depicting a nude female character cautiously stepping across a small stream amidst trees and foliage, with a meadow in the background.

The posterior cover and rounded sides of this cigarette case are plain and unembellished.

This hallmarked nude cigarette case is fitted with a hallmarked push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments.

This impressive example of antique silverware retains the original gilt interior and two original retaining straps.

Cigarette cases incorporating a full frontal nude enamel panel are becoming increasingly difficult to locate and are scarce to the market.
