This antique box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The chased decoration is all very sharp.

There is some staining to the interior of the box, as to be expected in keeping with age and use.

Full hallmarks struck to the rim of the body and surface of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver, apart from the maker's mark to the body which is overstruck.

Reflections in photographs may detract from this fine example of antique silverware.
