Sterling Silver and Ivory Handled Fish Servers by Atkin Brothers - Antique Victorian (1889)

Description

This exceptional pair of antique Victorian sterling silver and ivory handled fish servers consists of a serving knife and fork.

The blade of the knife has a shaped form and is embellished with profuse bright cut engraved scrolling leaf and floral motif decoration to the anterior surface.

The reverse surface of the knife and the both surfaces of the fork are ornamented with further bright cut engraved decoration to the lower portion.

The servers have fine and impressive tapering ivory handles with carved shell terminals.

Both servers have embossed scroll, bead and triangular motif decorated ferrules.

These antique silver and ivory fish servers are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and secures with a push fit catch.
