The plain surface of the body is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a boar's head erect and couped.
The upper flared rim of the tureen is encompassed with a fine and impressive applied gadroon decorated border.
This antique soup tureen retains the original impressive hallmarked push fit domed cover ornamented with a further band of gadroon decoration beneath a further bright cut engraved crest, identical to that to the body.
The impressive cover is surmounted by the original hallmarked handle ornamented with applied foliate and floral designs.
This Georgian tureen is fitted with two handles embellished with reed decoration and a baluster knop to the centre of the handpiece.
Each handle is ornamented with impressive fawn mask terminals in junction with the plain body.
This soup tureen is supported by four fine and impressive volute scrolling feet, each accented with scrolling leaf designs with a submerging and protruding talbot dog design to the terminal.
