This exceptional antique George IV three piece sterling silver tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug, and sugar bowl.
Each piece of this impressive collectable silver tea service has a circular rounded, melon shaped form onto circular spreading feet, all in the Regency style.
The components of this exceptional service are embellished with chased fluted style ornamentation to each incurved segment, accented with a leaf design and leaf textured border to the upper portion.
The upper rim of the sugar bowl and cream jug, in addition to the shoulders of the teapot are encompassed with a cast and applied gadroon decorated border.
The teapot is fitted with a plain domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the original and impressive sterling silver finial; the cover features an impressive scrolling thumbpiece to the hinge.
The teapot is fitted with the original, fine and impressive carved handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and fitted to an exceptional cast sterling silver leaf decorated upper terminal.
The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with cast sterling silver C shaped handles ornamented with a fluted design to the lower portion of each handpiece.
The teapot is fitted with a fine and impressive cast swan necked spout ornamented with further fluted ornamentation, in addition to an applied leaf design to the upper portion of the lip.
The cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilded interiors.
