This stunning vintage emerald pendant has been crafted in platinum, with an 18ct yellow gold setting.
The stunning feature drop is comprised of an 18ct yellow gold three-claw set principal 4.18ct pear faceted cut Colombian emerald.
The main undulating setting suspends from an individually claw set pear cut diamond, flanked with alternating marquise and modern brilliant round cut diamonds in a subtly curved horizontal formation.
The pendant suspends from a hallmarked platinum chain via a ring loop to either end of the diamond setting.
The chain secures with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening to the reverse; the chain is hallmarked with the maker's mark (FTS), the platinum mark (950), the London Import mark and the date letter for 1978 (D).
This impressive pear cut Colombian emerald pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 ct gold and platinum.
The stunning pendant is supplied with an emerald report certificate from The Gem and Pearl Laboratory Limited, 43 Kirby Street, London*, in addition to a diamond grading report card for the supporting diamonds.
This stunning pendant would sit very well with the pear cut Colombian emerald earrings C5808, as a composite suite.
NOTE: * This documentation accredits the emerald originating in Colombia and certifies that the gemstone shows moderate clarity enhancement.
"Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."
