This exceptional antique George V English sterling silver coffee jug has a rounded rectangular form to a spreading foot.
The surface of this Omar Ramsden coffee jug has a planished silver finish and is encircled with an applied moulded girdle, in addition to applied moulded decoration to the upper rim.
This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with the original hallmarked domed hinged cover which retains the original and impressive hallmarked, cast sterling silver finial modelled in the form of a winged angel figure holding a vacant shield shaped cartouche.
This exceptional coffee jug is fitted with the original carved painted wood angular handle accented with a tapering sterling silver lower socket and unusual silver bracket style support to the upper portion.
The plain truncated spout is embellished with a continuation of applied moulded decoration from the upper rim.
The cast silver spreading foot is encompassed with further convex bands, reflecting the ornamentation to the upper rim.
