This exceptional antique George V English cut glass and sterling silver cocktail shaker has a tapering cylindrical form.

The glass body of this exceptional antique cocktail shaker is embellished with cut glass decoration, incorporating diamond motifs to the upper and lower portions and a fluted band to the centre.

The vessel is further ornamented with an impressive cut glass star motif to the underside.

This antique glass cocktail shaker retains the original hallmarked sterling silver mount and detachable push fit stopper.

The antique silver mount bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'Seascale Gold Club, 1928, Mixed Foursome, V. W. Maxwell'.

The exceptional cover/stopper bears the patent details 'EDRU' and 'PAT. N^O 258461'.
