These exceptional antique Georgian Newcastle sterling silver serving spoons have been crafted in the Old English Feather Edge pattern.
The anterior surface of each spoon stem and handle is encompassed with feather edge decoration and embellished to the terminal with a flat engraved scrolling leaf design.
The handle terminal incorporates the contemporary bright cut engraved initials 'MAF'.
The reverse of these Georgian spoons are plain and unembellished, with single drop heels.
These exceptional Newcastle silver spoons were crafted by William Stalker & John Mitchison in 1774; it can be determined due to the hallmarking system this piece was one of the first items of silver created using this maker's mark.
