This exceptional, fine and impressive antique locket has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold.
The locket has a circular shaped form, ornamented to the anterior surface with an impressive hand-painted enamel panel depicting a floral arrangement; the flower and bud style reflects that of a bellflower.
The enamel panel is encompassed with a paralleling engraved scrolling leaf decorated yellow gold border.
The reverse of this impressive locket is embellished with further engraved scrolling leaf decoration, with a central stylised floral head design.
The paralleling, incurved rim of the locket bears an undulating wrigglework decorated border and features a plain rounded thumbpiece to each hinged compartment.
This hinged locket opens to reveal two windows, allowing for a personal memento to be stored within.
